Brandon finished his PhD this week. He is Dr. Smith now! He gave a 1 hour presentation to the public, then had a 2 hour closed door defense to his graduate committee where they grilled him with questions the entire time. He did great! He really rose to the occassion and it was neat for me to see him in his chemistry element. I was awake for the whole thing, even though I didn't really understand it at all! And this is the suit and tie he wore when he interviewed at Creare for his job - it must have good karma! His PhD advisor is in one of the pictures.
