Jacob's skills

Jacob finished James and the Giant Peach this week. He was doing mulitiplication cards with Brandon this morning. The problem was 12x8. He knew from looking at the answer on a previous card that 12x12=144. Then he figured out that 12x8 is 12x4 less than 12x12. He asked Brandon what 12x4 was and then did 144-48=96 in his head. He proceeded to do a lot of the problems in the same type of pattern. His mind is amazing!
